• After-School

    Our daily After-School Programme is an activity-based care service for children of school-going age. Open from 1.45pm to 5.45pm, children have the chance to participate in a variety of activities:

    • Art-making: we work with a wide range of art-making materials and offer painting, drawing, clay sculpture-making.
    • Baking: kids love to get creative with food!
    • Outdoor play: we encourage a healthy indoor & outdoor activities.
    • Games: for rainy days we have lots of great games to engage all ages
    • Homework: it has to be done–we see to it!
    • Mealtime: we are happy to heat and serve the food children bring.
    • Nature trails in Westport House (weather=permitting)
    • Walks on the Greenway
    • Visits to the local playground
    • Community Garden: watch the onions, cabbages and carrots as they grow & enjoy watching the roaming chickens!
    • NEW! We are delighted to offer a pick-up service for children attending Gaelscoil na Cruaiche. We pick up children at end of school day and walk them to Sharkey Hill.

    *All our staff are Buntas trained. 

    After-School Care Programmes Fees

    After School Programme (5-12 year olds):

    Per Day Rate = €17

    Per Week Rate = €85

    Subvention

    If you are a parent in receipt of social welfare, FIS, a GP / Medical Card, you are entitled to the reduced rate. 

    Please contact the Childcare leader Ann Caine-Moran or Rita McNally to discuss your fee. Equally if you are receiving a subvention rate and your circumstances change please let us know.
